Sometimes I think about random shit and today’s random item of shit rests with my sole reliability on people and the system…but mostly the internet. At 12:45 I land in muthasuckin Chicago with a sense that this city would trap me for at least one flight. The flight attendant greets me with, “…well, most flights out of Midway were cancelled…” and I think “…well fucking great…” and I run to my gate to get on standby. After standing in line for 40 minutes, the supervisor doesn’t know how to put me on standby and I feel like it’s a race to get on the list. I have women on both sides of me fucking crying and I feel like fucking crying but I think it’s kind of whack to do so and I suck it up. I may be here until 3:50 p.m. tomorrow. The first thought in my mind is…I have to find an internet connection, which will help me find a solution, entertain me and connect me to the world.
Vevo, Google and Universal Music’s new website, officially launched last night. This is the deal…users create video playlists (official vids) and don’t have to wade through some of the user-gen crap out there. Peeps call it “the Hulu for music” because it jacked the Hulu model for attracting high end advertisers. Let me know your thoughts. Great concept…but the content…jury is still out.
I enjoy and despise the co-dependent nature of friends that obviously revel in the importance of the energy that exists, yet lack understanding too. It is not a romantic energy, although romanticism rests amongst hidden treasures of time…minutes, seconds of transient delight nestled within the artistic odyssey of making it. But it falls short, with unassuming and colorful overtones of a cunning manifesto…”You’re different.”
"…Far beyond here, far removed from the sneering of the crowd My eternal love sits smiling, sphinx-like and proud Cross that disguise, I am glancing with needles in my eyes Birds of infinity glisten, shimmering for the rest of my life And I conceived them, not what they mean…”
